Halfway through the first season I fully understand why fans were hooked to the drama. The unfolding of the events take place, predictable & not so predictable.
Dr Do is on his mission of getting a chance at operating the chairman but Teacher Kim stands tall in his way. Actually if the chairman wishes so he should obey but his ambition only got bigger.
Sending his team is but a ploy. Not to assist but to keep an eye on the hospital & the staff. Finding that Teacher Kim operated without consent & his pupil Dr yun, a PTSD patient gave him ammunition against the hospital. Both came out of it unscathed & stronger.
Dr Yun who doubted her abilities knows she is cured & can successfully function as a doctor. When she handled the six vehicular accident it became clear. She is comfortable when Dr Kang is around & she is feisty when needed. She cannot forgive the drunken youth responsible for the accident.
Compensation can never be enough for the damage done. The two who lost their legs can never have the same life! But the offender realised & apologised for it, himself. Knowing once mistakes, feeling sorry & admitting it is not easy!
Not everybody can do it! Coming from an influential family he had his parents backing. But Dr Yun was adamant about not letting it slide.
Dr Kim has romantic ideas about life. He believes in living life to the fullest. He knows he is a doctor for his patients, not for earning money or building a big hospital. His romanticism is infective.
I had never thought of Dr Kang being selfish. He is an ambitious doctor & motivated by Dr Kim in the past. He has lived poverty but has never compromised on his patients or principles. He has fallen for Dr Yun since when he saw her. He is steadfast in his stand.
Not because he is my favourite actor but he shines through all his burdens. He panicked when the stranger was holding a knife at Dr Yun’s throat. He also was helpless when he couldn’t find her. Rendering her resignation in the heat of the moment, she travelled to Seoul & didn’t know what to do next.
He found her & also their first snow together. Although cliche, it was much awaited. Poor souls needed some company, warmth & solace. So did we, in all the events happening at a fast pace.
