A tragedy which casts dark shadows on the lives of two individuals who are trying desperately to lead a normal life. But then what is normal? Isn’t that concept very elusive??
As they meet people affected by the incident as much or more than them they start getting to the depth of damage it had on all lives around. Lee Kang doo has injured his leg & had to go through a lot of pain while rehabilitation. His sister is a doctor but she is pained by the hardships he undergoes. He is often shown to have been beaten or fresh wounds on his body.
The old lady helping him out herself has a brain tumour & knows her time is over. She wishes him to have a nice partner & lead a comfortable life. Do hardships bring out the best in you? Have they been set in the way for you to learn??
Ha Moon soo has lost her younger sister. It brought the separation of her parents. He runs a Noodle place. She helps her mother run a sauna. With a friend with a bad husband. Is it fate that brings two sad woman together to share their sorrow? Or do we try & find someone with sorrow to share, cry & discuss who is better off??
Ma-ri is a lovely lady who runs a nightclub. She is a loyal friend of Kang doo. Being in weird places for earning some money, he has a mix of people around him that would be called ‘unusual’.
Ahn Nae- sang is her father. He is one of those actors who cannot be shown as rich & arrogant. He has a persona of being kind hearted. He dotes on his daughter but has differences with his wife. Yoon Yoo-sun as her mother has drowned herself in soju. She is depressed & has no life to look forward to. She has refused to sign the divorce papers. Her parents have only one goal in their lives now. They have met her boss, Lee Ki woo. They wish she would choose him over her colleague,Lee Kang doo.
Actually as a parent they are right. For a son-in-law he is the perfect choice but.. our leads have got too fond of each other & they cannot be separated now.
Park Hee won as her friend is a delight. She is wheelchair bound but energetic. Her webtoon series keeps her busy. Kim Min kyu as her assistant has a small but nice role. He got introduced to her when he wrote some malicious comments on her page. But knowing that she is really wheelchair bound, he came around.
The series is interesting. A bit slow sometimes. But nice.
