It is a 2017 Canadian drama romance film. Directed by Justin G. Dyck & screenplay by keith Cooper. It is based on ‘Once upon a wedding’ by Stacy Connelly. It stars Jocelyn Hudon, Stephen Huszar, Kelly Rutherford, Melinda Shankar & others.
Kelsey is beginning her career as a wedding planner with her cousin, Emily’s wedding. She comes across Connor, Emily’s ex-boyfriend. Aunt Olivia tells her to keep an eye on him & he invites her to investigate Emily’s fiance, Todd.
While spying on Todd they come closer. But aunt Olivia reveals to Kelsey that her uncle paid off Connor ten years ago to leave Emily. Few months ago her uncle had paid again. Connor had believed it to be a loan to help his friend George keep his family restaurant.
In the end Connor like a true PI finds dirt on Todd & stops the wedding. He also proposes to Kelsey. Aunt Olivia apologies & all ends well.
Critics gave very bad reviews but I have seen worst. So it is passable. We do think something is a miss but it’s okay. It’s Christmas & it has all we wish for! The mood, costumes, great looking people, cookies, wedding dress, party… you name it.
