Into the final episode & the tail I haven’t seen. If it did come out with the moon just like the fox in ‘My girlfriend is a Gumiho’ it would have been delightful! First the sex change, second no tail.
He did not come out of a painting as she did. With his trade mark the red umbrella with the embroidered white flowers he came to a wedding. Why did they show him in bad light I wonder!
He almost looked like a suspect with blood on his hands. Later gradually his image cleared. So did the story. It started getting interesting. Being a Mountain deity, he had no concessions, he barely made through those sharp knives hurled at him!
I have this fetish for long white hair. Looking at the water God in the “Bride of Haebak” it was weird initially but then I got used to looking at Nam Joo-hyuk! Lee Dong wook’s is different & regal.
‘My girlfriend is a Gumiho’ has Lee Seung gi with a grandfather & an aunt. Here, Jo Bo-ah has parents. But she has lost them in an accident. The fox helps her to find them. They meet after 20 years. The fox waiting for her for last 600 years seems possible, then.
With Kim Bum & Kim Tae ri the glamour index is high, yet I personally liked No Min -woo more. He had killed his first love Shin Min-a with white, long hair earlier, now he is waiting for her to return to him. She has her own thoughts, feelings, she falls for a human & wishes to be like him!
The other pair is his aunt & the director of his film. Also the director’s daughter & her beau. They make up some light moments. In ‘The tale of..’ Lee ‘s Granny (So called!) & her husband add spice to the unfoldings. Also Kim Bum, Kim Yong -ji & hwang Hee form a team. Their fears, tears & feelings makes up the rest of the story.
The smart little boy, Jung Si-yul in his tiny role is too cute. Also another pair of Kim Soo-jin & Joo Suk tae are under used. Their story was worth listening too. The snail bride is waiting for her husband who comes to her finally!
Jung Yi seo & Kim Kang-min form the good friends Nam Ji ah has at the TVC station. They were her attendants in their past life. As I sit writing about so many characters, but the story has a flow that we aren’t even aware of so many sub-plots!
The final episode is a true tear jerker. But to bring out the end it needed a good base. Maybe. I hope they end it well.
