A 2021 film by Producers Brooke Shields, Brad Krevoy and others. Directed by Mary Lambert & Music by Jeff Rona. It is a typical Christmas film.
A best selling author, Sally Brown, is interviewed on ‘The Drew Barrymore show’. She is upset over the scandal linking her good name. To escape, she journeys to Scotland. The scenic locations are to die for. She gets to ride her bike on the uncluttered roads. The narrow roads are lined with lush green landscape & a drove of trees!
She discovers a castle owned by Dun Danbar. The duke is living there. But in need of money to settle debts, he plans to sell it. Her father resided there, so she has nostalgic memories. She decides to buy it!
They don’t get along & she decides to move out after Christmas. Will the ego of a duke & a strong woman’s will clash with each other? It forms the story around Christmas. What it lacks is ..the tug at your heartstrings!
Brooke Shields is the main character. I was looking at her after her ” The Blue Lagoon” in 1980 & adjusting to her looks took some time. She is comfortable in front of the camera & gradually grows on you.
She needs a better script to bring out the best in her. After fighting with her depression she has emerged out a winner. She is active & plans to go ahead. Kudos to her!
