A 2018 Comedy film that caught the attention during Christmas because it is a clean, feel good film. I saw The Princess Switch 3 streaming & couldn’t recollect what was in the first one! So I revisited it.
The film is directed by Mike Rohl. It stars Vanessa Hudgens, sam Palladio & nick Sagar. The film’s concept of two people look identical running into each other & switching places comes from Mark Twain’s 1881 novel The Prince & the Pauper.
This film was released in Nov. 2018. A sequel ‘The Princess Switch: Switched Again’ premiered in Nov.2020. ‘The Princess Switch 3 : Romancing the Star’ premiered on Nov. 18, 2021. So my list has two more to go.
Like the ‘Princess Diaries’ I will follow it up to find what has changed in the last two years. Stacy’s friend is Kevin. This role is played by Nick Sagar. He has a daughter, Olivia. Olivia is played by another actress in the next film.
Stacy DeNovo is a young baker from Chicago. She has a pastry shop that she runs with her lifelong friend, Kevin. She enters a baking competition in the Kingdom of Belgravia. There she meets Margaret, Duchess of Montenaro, her lookalike. They switch places for two days on Margaret’s insistence.
What happens next is the story! Predictable yet satisfying. Stacy gets married to the Prince & Kevin plans to marry Margaret. Olivia would love it!
