It is a South Korean television series from 2015. It stars So Ji sub & Shin Min-a. With 16 episodes it never exceeded 10.9 % during it’s run. In 2015, KBS awards both won top excellence award along with the couple award. In 11th Seoul International drama awards Shin Min-a won the outstanding Korean actress award.
Kim Young ho is a personal trainer. He gets involved in a hollywood scandal with an actress. He runs back to Korea. On the fight he meets Kang Joo eun, a 33 year old lawyer who has gained a lot of weight. She was a beauty in her teens.
She gets dumped by her boyfriend. They had a 15 year old long relationship. He is a swimmer with the Korean team. But with passing years & her gaining weight he seems to have shifted his interest to another slim girl.
If IU looked cute with her excess weight in ‘Dream High season 1’ in 2011, Shin Min-a carries her weight gracefully. Of course, both are losing their weight to come to their normal dimensions.
In ‘My ID is Gangnam Beauty’ made in 2018, Im Soo hyang is never fat. She goes under the scalpel in the first episode & the girl shown later hides her face in her hair. Only Cha Eun woo, her school friend remembers how she looked then.
‘Birth of a Beauty’ (2014) again has the house wife with inferior complex about her weight & looks. Han Ye seul’s husband is Jung Gyu -woon, who wants her building & even tries to murder her. Interestingly, ‘Oh My Venus’ has him as her boyfriend. He approached her first. Declared her to be his ‘first love’!
Sung Hoon looking really very young with a different hairstyle than his other shows. I have seen him in the lead always. The latest being ‘Love : Marriage & Divorce’.
The first episode is happening & looks to be interesting.
