Park Shin Hye has been working in the industry since 2003. Playing the part of Choi Ji woo ‘s character in the popular Korean drama “Stairway to Heaven”. Born in Feb. 1990, she was barely 13 then.
‘You are Beautiful’ in 2009 with Jang keun suk earned her a name for herself. The drama had average ratings in South Korea but it was well received in Japan. It gained a cult following. The songs ‘Lovely Day’ & ‘Without Words’ were released for the drama’s original soundtrack.
In 2013, ‘Miracle in cell no.7’ became one of the highest grossing Korean films. Same year she appeared with Lee Min ho in “Heirs” which enjoyed immense popularity locally & internationally. She became a Hallyu star.
‘The Royal Tailor’ & ‘Doctors’ further increased her fan base. With Hyun Bin the fantasy suspense drama ‘Memories of the Alhambra’ in 2018 was a commercial success. It is one of the highest rated Korean dramas in cable television history.
In March 2018, she confirmed her relationship with actor Choi Tae joon. They had been dating since late 2017. On Nov. 23, 2021 it was announced that she is pregnant & is preparing for her marriage with Choi. A private wedding ceremony is planned on Jan. 22, 2022 in Seoul.
I am so happy for her. With her career she has managed to balance her personal life. With the various films & dramas she has established herself as a versatile actor & singer. Wishing her all the best for her future.
