Dr Romantic

I had been getting this suggestion literally since ages. I had put it off for being another doctor series. With 2 seasons! So much to watch. Finally I sat down with the first episode. It is fast & my favourite stars all shining through!

Yoo Yeon seok, Seo Hyun jin,Park Joo hun with others. The story interesting & with twists & turns really fascinating. Seo hyun is his senior & appears to be hazing him. But he is really good at his work. In the first episode they have a difficult situation & when it’s over, he confesses his feelings.

She already has a boyfriend. Dr Moon. He puts a ring on her finger. Later, they meet an accident & she is seriously injured. Dr Moon is two timing her. Our hero, Dr Kang Dong joo is waiting for her. He learns of her accident. But she is more concerned about Dr Moon. She disappears from the hospital to be taken care of by the famous surgeon, Dr Kim.

I did something that I have never ventured before. I went to the first episode of season 2. There again the star cast is excellent & surprise!! the first episode is equally good & interesting. They have sent these two doctors away for a conference & now the focus is on the new pair. Ahn Hyo seop & Lee Sung kyung. They know each other from ages & are always fighting.

He is a good doctor but his monetary condition is bad. He wishes appointment in the hospital outside the city, Doldam for good money. Whereas Dr Kang is banished to Doldam to get away from Geosan University hospital because he is too good. His competition is with the son of the director of Geosan University Hospital.

In both the seasons the leads land up in the small hospitaal at Doldam to start their journey together & to know each other.

“Doctors’ also has a fight for Park Shin hye in the opening sequence. But she has her own mentor always. Dr Hong is closely watching her progress. Lee Sung kyung as her friend & later as her competitor is competent. Being my first medical drama it has a special position. It is a 2016 drama & so is Dr Romantic, season 1.

Of Course, our all time favourite “Hospital Playlist 1 & 2” with Yoo Yeon seok as the romantic Dr Ahn is unforgettable. So are the others in the cast. Naming each one is futile. All are not just characters but real Doctors!!
