Into the 7th episode & gets better. Lee Hwi is getting into her role. She is able to free Jung Ji Woon’s friends from his father, who is bent on killing them. She is also able to stand up to her grandfather who is very influential & always has his way.
Jung Ji gets a look at the book he wrote. He had gifted it to Dam-i.He is puzzling over how it came in the possession of the Crown Prince. Hiding her identity for so many years from the prying eyes must be tough.
“Coffee Prince” had the protagonist in the Boy’s garb. She needed the job. All male caafe required her to disguise herself.
“Love in the Moonlight’ had the female in the attire of the eunuch. She could stay close to the Prince & save herself.
In “Sungkyunkwan Scandal’ she needed to be a boy to enter the institute meant for scholars. Without her father she had to look after her family & her insatiable thirst for learning made her bold to enter as a boy.
Hiding behind the clothes or adapting the mannerisms is not so easy. In ‘Empress Ki ‘ as Ki Nyang she dresses as a man to lead her men. She is good at archery. Later as a court lady she reveals her true self. Grooming by Tal Tal gives her the edge over the other women who wish to marry the Emperor.
Slowly it is getting more interesting.
