John Beecham buys a huge house in Delhi. He is a former soldier with the East India company. He has a child & an army of servants to look after the house & the baby. His mother arrives with Violet in tow. She plans to marry him.
But the future has something else planned. A 2019 Historical drama.Set in 1795, co-created,directed & produced by Gurinder Chadha.It was promoted as a ‘Delhi Downton Abbey’ it received mixed reviews. Tom Bateman,Lesley Nicole, Dakota Blue Richards,Leo Suter & others make the cast.
It is good entertainment. But falls short of becoming memorable.
