I knew it was streaming but I had to settle on a long settling drama. The period dramas are the best. I am a fan from ‘The Rookie Historian..’ & Park Bo Gum’s ‘Love in The Moonlight’ makes a fan out of any viewer!
The first two episodes later we have the twin sister of the young Prince killed because she is a girl!! & a Twin, identical again. Choi Myung-bin looks so pretty as young Lee Hwi & Dam-yi. The way she changes her walk when she is the prince & hesitation at confronting the crown Prince or the Princess is priceless.
The teacher’s or tutor’s son being close to the girl, Dam-yi is again what we saw in ‘My Sassy Girl’ the period drama. He also goes off to Ming to become a scholar. Also his entry with a straw hat is the same. A commoner falling for the Princess is so common.
In “The Moon embracing the Sun” the scholar teaching the Prince is his best friend. But the Princess falls for him. She goes to lengths to get married to him. The Prince is getting engaged to the scholar’s sister but has a fatal illness & dies. A commoner getting involved with a Prince.
“The Last Empress” has a theatre actress Sunny getting married to the Emperor. But by then times have changed outside the palace & the commoner is not a big issue. ‘100 days My Prince’ the commoner takes care of the Prince who has lost his memory. But he has no hesitation in reciprocating her feelings.
‘The King’s affection’ looks good. They meet in the first episode. They meet again in the second as adults. Yet he seems to take the 10th episode to confess his feelings. With so much happening around, he is taking it slow!
I liked the pace & enjoyed every bit.
