It is based on French TV series ‘Call my agent!’ & directed by Shaad Ali. It is written by Hussain Dalal & Abbas Dalal. It stars Rajat Kapoor, Aahana Kumra, Ayush Mehra, Soni Razdan, Suchitra Pillai, Priyasha Bharadwaj & others.
The 6 episodes have stars as themselves. First episode has Dia Mirza, Lillete Dubey, Ila Arun fighting to have the role in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s film. The Art firm has agents who work for different stars. They have to go to & forth from the stars to the star makers.
Sarika & her daughter Akshara don’t want to work with each other in Farah Khan’s next. But neither wants to back out. Lara Dutta doesn’t want to leave her child with just anybody. She wants to star in a film but Chambal is out of question!
Richa Chadda & Ali Fazal are at each other’s throat but they have to portray their love on screen. She is the Queen & he is a slave. The agents are at their wit’s end. Finally Nandita Das wants Jackie Shroff in her movie. But the hitch is the dog. Having once bitten by a dog he is scared.
Personal biases, personalities clash,egos inflated, casting couches, stealing scripts everything is led bare. Not to mention preferences. The main character Tinnu Anand dies. His wife wants to sell the firm. What about the employees of years??
We are just half way, it needs a sequel for closure. Totally Indian it has that flair of being French! Can’t we come up with something original???
