It is an Indian romantic comedy streaming TV series created by Dhruv Sehgal. It stars Mithila Palkar with him. With four seasons & 29 episodes it makes a great viewing. It is simple & sweet. The everyday events are packaged in a small episode.
I first saw Mithila in ‘Girl in the City’, what stood out is her confidence. It is a relatable story of a small town girl coming to city for a job. Her struggle in the city was what every new comer goes through.
Later in ‘Muramba’ she is the ambitious girl now in a relationship. Ameya Wagh as her boyfriend is another Marathi actor who speaks volumes with his eyes. He is nervous about her next venture & breaks off with her. The parents are aghast & what happens next is the story.
In ‘Chopsticks’ her car is stolen & she takes help of a pro. He is Abhay Deol. In very few frames he controls the entire proceedings.
In ‘Tribhanga’ as Masha she is pitted against Kajol & Tanvi Azmi. A family drama written & directed by Renuka Shahane is a mix of many characters. All stars. The story though strong needed more effort to make it memorable. As Kajol’s daughter she has a strong personality & independent views.
She has won awards for ‘Little things’ & ‘Muramba’ both. She is confident & easily blends in the character. She would never do justice to the behenji roles. That is just not her nature, I believe.
Dhruv Sehgal is known for his series ‘Little Things’. He has got all his awards for the show. His short film ‘Kunal’ was at MAMI in 2016. A talented artist.
