The long running series…

My love for the two actors in a historical drama made me go through all of the 51 episodes of the ‘Empress Ki’. But I am not complaining. I had my heart full of both Ha Ji won & JI Chang wook. The story is powerful & so are the performances.

“My only one’ which has 106 episodes. But I had not seen Uee for a very long period & felt I should see her other shows. Her ‘Marriage Contract’ is one of the best. Closely followed by ‘Night Light’. I had seen ‘My contracted husband, Mr Oh’ so it was time.

It has her father getting arrested for a crime he has not committed. They meet after 28 years. The story has many characters & to cover all of them the number of episodes was sufficient.

‘My father is strange’ has 52 episodes. Following Jung So-min after her loveable performance in ‘Because this is my first life’ with Lee Min Ki I started this show. The father has taken the identity of his friend to survive. He has a restaurant but has no driving licence or any document made in his name.

When in States, his ID is in his friend’s pocket who gets killed. So he returns back to Korea & has his friend’s ID. His wife is pregnant then & it appears to be the best solution. When his friend’s son starts searching for his father all skeletons tumble down.

His daughter is a lawyer & she takes up his case. To prove that his father is not a fraud is never easy. It is an intriguing drama.

“What happens to my family?” has 53 episodes. with a solid star cast like Park hyung sik, Nam ji hyun & others it makes an interesting watch. The father files a case against his children. They are asking for their early inheritance.

The lawyer is none other than the man who dumped his daughter 14 years ago. With three children, three tracks are there. The father has a new friend … a woman. The children are sure she is cause of his changed behaviour. Their aunt is staying with them. Her daughter & son-in-law provide the right amount of spice.

All the three work places make it interesting. Chairman Moon’s office, Cha Gang shim’s a secretary there. The Hospital where Cha gang jae is the cancer specialist & the restaurant owned by Mr Yoon & where our leads work.

‘Love on a rooftop’ has 101 episodes. It stars Im Se-mi & Park Jin woo. A 450 years old house named ‘Dongrakdang’ is the house owned by Kim Soon-im . She is Im Se-mi’s grandmother. She works hard for the family. When the secret of her adoption is revealed, it brings in a great shock, upheaval in the family.

The family holds the tradition of making teas. But she wants to learn coffee making. She starts learning it from a Barista, who starts falling for her. But she is fixed on someone else.

Formerly working as a nurse she has met him. Later the show makers have forgotten that she is a trained nurse. She changes her vocation& has no regrets.

Around the 50th episode I saw that more is there. What 101 episodes! I left it after watching the final scene where he packs his bags & leaves for the airport. She comes running & they hug! They required 101 episodes to know they like each other??

Only one of the dramas that I left half way… as for ‘Moon lovers’ or “Vagabond” we need more. We need a season next!!! Are the makers listening???
