If we go by the list provided to us.. well, it’s just the beginning! My forever favourite Jung hae jin’s drama ‘One spring Night’ with it’s OST is the best. Nothing can beat the title track. ‘No direction’ by Rachael Yamagata or ‘Spring Rain’ by Oscar Dunbar.
First is Goblin aka ‘Guardian: The lonely & great God’ has this beautiful song… what else but ‘Beautiful’ literally. ‘ It’s a beautiful life’ when Kim shin falls in love for the first time. Ji Eun Tak is demure. winsome, pretty, fluffy, delicate.. so sweet. If you say Gong Yoo is old or jaded… these words just do not exist! He is the forever young & handsome hero ever.
‘While you were sleeping’ has ‘It’s you’. The English track by Henry. Heartwarming & exciting. Lee Jong Suk & Bae Suzy walking towards each other in the drizzling snow… sets the tone, pitch perfect!
“My ID is Gangnam Beauty” has this track “Something”. Cha Eun woo & Im Soo Hyang begin their little something with this. Stolen glances & unspoken words, the tapping feet at the bus stop, right from their school they know each other.
The poster of them she is clutching his shirt with her two fingers, preventing her fall at the cafeteria is classic.
How looks are secondary… coming from the perfect Cha Eun woo it is rich. But the inner beauty always gets the second seat.
“Descendents of the sun” from the title it grows on you. With the Song-Song couple do we say more??? ‘Everytime’ I hear it & it rolls like the film itself. The soldier & his surgeon girlfriend make us feel every moment special .They have made it unforgettable. How did they forget all that??
If they moved on, we have not. Not yet.
And finally ‘Boys Over Flowers’ featuring ‘Stand by Me’ The OST is perfect. So are the F4 & their early target..Koo Hye Sun. I have never loved her more. The four arrogant, handsome boys who made our dreams feel real!
Magic of Lee Min ho is the same, has he aged ? His ‘The King: Eternal Monarch’ has him caught in a time wrap. A King no less.
The K dramas have swept us off the feet with good stories, actors ( Good looking ones, Of course!) also the OST … unforgettable.
