The short hindi film with Mahira khan is a 11 minute film.Directed by Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui.It stars famous Pakistani actor Zahid Ahmed as her husband, Akbar. Inspired by Ahmed faraz’s poetry & Japanese music composer Shigeru Umebayashi it leaves us uneasy.
It revolves around post-marital depression. The actress is known for her role in ‘Raees’ with SRK but she is a household name with her hit daily soaps like ‘Hum Safar’ with Fawad Khan.
Sheharzaad longs for her husband & wants him to love her as he did . But trapped in the daily routine, she only longs for things as they were. She cooks , cleans, feeds her child & sends to school as if she is a robot.
Her daughter tells her, ‘Ali’s mother thinks you are sick in the head!’. How true. This depression is very rarely recognised or addressed. But it exists.
It Is a beautifully made film.
