The actor..

Lee Kwang -soo. He is a South Korean actor , entertainer & model. He was a regular cast member of the South Korean variety show “Running Man” from June 2010 to May 2021. His last appearance on Running Man was aired on June 13, 2021.

The show gained him immense popularity with the nickname “Prince of Asia”due to his large number of overseas fans. In 2013, he appeared in the TV melodrama, The Innocent Man with his former Running Man co-star & real-life best friend Song Joong-ki.

In “Innocent Man” he is Joong ki’s best friend who protects his house & his younger sister. In the opening sequences Joong ki gets framed for a crime he did not commit. His selfish girlfriend pins in on him to further her ambition.

Joong ki’s sister is sick. She needs hospitalization frequently. He takes care. She is working in a cafe. He visits her & looks after her constantly. He is aware of her growing feelings but wants her to find someone better.

In the show,’It’s okay, That’s love’ a medical melodrama he played a patient suffering from Tourette syndrome. He works in a cafe. He cannot date or have feelings for a girl, it sets off his seizure. He befriends a young girl, Oh So-nyeo who has been abandoned by her mother. Her troubled childhood has made her bitter.

From the two shows, his falling for young girls & them choosing him over other boys is unique. The ‘Cafe’ is also the permanent feature. Although he has the sub-plot his presence makes it lively & an integral part of the main story.

Cameo in his buddy’s drama, ‘Descendants of the Sun’ is also noteworthy. His towering height, gentle persona & a genuine smile make him memorable.

He has been recovering from his ankle injury. Hope he recovers fast to give more of his performances for fans like me. Looking forward to more memorable roles in his career.
