Into the 10th episode & the leads are discovering that their thought processes are so different. Being together for a while, or on a trip is okay. But everyday life is not a picnic! She has to work in the hospital for long hours & he has to write to make a living as a writer. He can not get lost in thoughts.
Her ex -boyfriend Ho shows up at her house & Jae yeol has a hard time hiding his jealousy.But he manages barely & decides to leave. Is she a major distraction or his mind is not clear to enable him to express his thoughts?
Dong -min administers the amytal solution to reach out to his patient,Jae beom. It appears he has been framed by his family. His brother gave a false testimony. The mother & younger brother conspired against him.
Park Soo-kwang knows that Oh So nyeo has a boyfriend. Yet his feelings for her do not diminish. He requests Ji Hae soo to give her pointers to sex education. Being a Psychiatrist she should give the school girl hints about cervix cancer, etc. The first show I have come across that discusses many issues people may find difficult to voice.
The story moves slowly but meaningfully. Each character is well written & their background given time to know them better.
She was always angry with her mother for having an affair with Mr Kim, her father’s friend. Now years later she realises, her mother must have been so alone. Taking care of an ailing husband & selfish daughter(her words, not her mother’s ) who wanted to be a doctor knowing well her family’s condition. The restaurant & her fees have resulted in a huge debt. But they are working happily to pay it off.
The side plots come in so easily that instead being a hurdle they carry forward the plot. The plot itself is brave. To have a patient in the center & weaving a story around him was tough.
