I saw her with Aamir Khan in ‘Ghajini’ & wanted to know more about her. In the first scene where she meets him, she talks with a confidence I have rarely seen. I am aware she was voicing the dialogues already written by the someone else & yet they suited her!

She began acting in the South Indian film industry & later shifted to Bollywood. She speaks eight languages. She dubs her own films. Asin has been referred to as “Queen of Kollywood” by on-line portals in 2007.

She married Rahul Sharma in 2016 & quit films.In 2008, she debuted in ‘Ghajini’ which earned her ‘the Filmfare best female award’ & many accolades. The film was the first Bollywood film to collect more than 1 billion in the domestic box office & 1.9 billion in the worldwide market.

In 2011, she starred opposite Salman Khan inthe romantic comedy “Ready” it was another major hit collecting 1.84 billion worldwide.In 2012, Sajid Khan’s “Houseful 2” collected more than 1 billion. She also featured in ‘Bol Bachchan’ with Ajay Devgan & “Khiladi 786” with Akshay Kumar. Both the films were successful grossing over 1 billion.

She married in January 2016 & had her first child, a daughter Arin, in October 2017. Giving time to her family she decided to quit films. We eagerly await her return to the silver screen. The second innings will give us more blockbusters.
