Into the 15th episode & it’s all broken. All wrong. The mother laments over her words & knows she had only the best interest in her heart for her son. Does the sun rise with her son & set?? Mothers dote on their sons little realising that they have lost their hearts to someone. This is the age. What they will do so when they are 60? That can happen but not acceptable by the societal norms.

The classic scenario ensues. Both are unhappy. She is encased in her cold, empty house & he is heart is bleeding. His face shows little, but he is not himself. Why don’t we let them be ?? They will realise on their own what is right or wrong for them! Let them decide with whom they wish to be forever. Again this forever is constantly changing….

The other pairs are having a tough time with their close friends weeping & having long faces. I wonder why all dramas go through the same thing?? Why it has to be a test for them?? Declaring their association, accepting their own feelings was not easy, why make them go through this.

She knows about her husband’s true feelings but she has none. She says, You have taught me to say goodbye. She intends to do just that. She breaks up in style. Her cool manner sometime gets to you. But it underlines how suffocating it must have been for her!

The story of holding in is the same all over. The short films with Taapsee Pannu, Sakshi Tanwar or Shefali Shah makes us uneasy because they are true depiction. Nothing has changed. The role of the housewife remains the same. What is surprising is the partner, who has no clue. Or he knows, but chooses to ignore??
