The second episode has the judge Cha Moon suk being sweet to the fired lawyer, Ha Jae-yi. She has accepted Mr Bong’s offer & met with the jailed detective. She is wondering how can he be so confident that the detective will hand over the case to him.
The pandemonium in the court is akin to what we saw in “Vincenzo”. The trial begins only when he makes his entry. In the cloud of the fire extinguisher he makes his entrance followed by Ms Ha.
She had been kidnapped by the goons thinking she is his girlfriend. She is only his paralegal, but they are off the mark at present. It will take time for us & them to develop feelings. They are getting ahead of themselves here.
As a child he has witnessed Judge giving orders to kill them both.. his mother & him. She reminds me of the ruthless lawyer in the Babel firm, Choi Myeong hee ,who puts the hard core villians to shame. Her performance is so confident & on the mark.
The lawyer’s office & the sidekicks remind me strongly of the inmates in the Geumga Plaza. Naturally the chef is not there but the others who blend in the background bring in the memories. His sidekick, whom he saved some time ago is as loyal as the office worker with Hong Cha-young.
The fictional city makes an excellent venue of action. His office, the court , the prison & the streets are where the main action takes place. I am continuously reminded of Song Joong ki & the unmistakable parallels between the two protagonists.
Production company is Logos film & Producers Lee jang soo & Choi Tae young , common for both the shows. After the tried & tested formula they went for 20 episodes for Vincenzo as against only 16 for’ Lawless Lawyer’.
