Yesterday I watched two more stories & found that the sleek & shiny got away from simplicity & subtility. The short stories are meant to shock you, leave you with an impression. As is it the content is not very unique on the web series in general, makes it difficult to leave an impression.
The old movies or the evergreen songs are so because they have been made with love, patience & full devotion. Dedicating oneself is a myth today. I am where a better package is.
After “Forget Me Not” is the story of a makeup artist, “Bahurupiya”. He is a good artist who comes to a fortune left by his granny. It boosts his morale & he starts getting back to those who have hurt him.
In the process of changing his faces with his skill of prosthetics, he loses his own face. There is this ‘Peer Baba’ who asks his name but he wants to defeat the miracle man. It ends up as we think it will. KK menon as usual very authentic & convincing.
A few scenes just should not have been there. It makes it difficult to go over them & think. Un necessarily we go for reading between the lines or here between the scenes. In a story, we get engrossed to visualise, here the visuals can be distracting. The director leaves nothing to be shown. The viewer is a mere puppet going through all the scenes.
Could have been more effective with the original story. We require only the skeleton the rest we can do. About the other story next time.
