Today’s choice is the underrated actor in South Korean industry Wi Ha- joon. I am watching the show, ‘Romance is a bonus book’, where in the first three episodes he has what.. barely three scenes. But his presence makes it worth it.
He is on the bus stop where the lady in question loses one of her shoes. He lifts to give it to her. But she is nowhere to be seen. Later she drops the other shoe herself in a dust bin. He comes upon it accidently & now has both the shoes with him. Much later he comes upon her being bothered by a drunk. He rescues her & offers her her own shoes. He asks her to not think of him as a pervert. Not always do I carry women shoes in my bag!
He is just a little late entry in her life. I can see what follows. In ’18 Again’ I felt sorry that he had such a hard life. Being an idol he had everything but a happy family. The news anchor he falls for is getting a divorce but she still is very much in love with her husband. He stands no chance.
In ‘Something in the Rain’ he is Son ye jin’s younger brother & Jung Hae in’s best friend. He is the whose marriage brings Hae in back in her life. Initially it is a shock to him that his friend is interested in his older sister but the sincerity gets to him. It helps to convince the parents.
He was nominated for his role in “Something in the Rain’ & also for “Romance is a bonus book’. Hope to see more of his work in the future.
