To write a book

I have compiled so many good thoughts & I plan to write it all in a book. Also so many titles are floating around in my mind…it’s tough. But yes, I have decided to write a bestseller.

Haven’t I read books by so many good authors ? Appreciated & digested them..it should not be difficult for me.. a person who has a way with words.

I had started to translate a book & I had completed a chapter days ago… the progress later was very slow because I have to have time to go through the lines & come up with the best words…

I had also planned to get help of Google but then that wouldn’t be right. It should have the Author’s touch, right??

Then when the author said he is not interested in it anymore & he doesn’t plan to write a sequel, I had mixed emotions… It was a good start to begin with… I would have surely done it.

Penning or should I say typing the thoughts is what I am doing for the past last year. So having to sit for long hours is a breeze… having hundreds of thoughts is also… getting into the groove not so tough.

I hear they go to quiet, silent places, hill stations like Matheran which is open now. Should I try that? Maybe I can write a Masterpiece there… if not, at least a complete novel or novella… I am that good..

I was fascinated by the Marathi writers G N Dandekar & VP Kale. I can read their books anytime. Goni da as he was fondly called, had left his home in childhood He always referred to it & emphasised that it is not a must. One can dream on & take efforts at home. To grow it is not necessary to leave your house.

VP kale wrote as if he is writing your thoughts. Simple, sleek & with tons of sense. He had his experiences & without any bitterness he would honestly pen them. When I visited the Marathi poet’s place Vinda Karandikar. I was floored by his personality. So simple. But among the nameplates on the building read ‘V.P. Kale’ ! How I wished I could meet him!

So wishes be horses… I am still dreaming of completing my book. How long this project will take, God knows..!
