Leaving it half way, yesterday I finally finished the first episode. When the runaway bride is with her best friend & has the wedding jitters why can’t she see really who is it that she likes? The lead also so dumb. Can’t he speak his mind?
Later the wedding happens. She gets divorced & has a son to care for. A year passes but the best friend is unaware of her plight. Her son is in the boarding & she has no place to live. She is his housekeeper for a year & he doesn’t know!
They never meet? At night she lives in her run down house about to be demolished. She is actually sleeping when people come with JCBs & start the demolition. She quickly packs & leaves.Washes up & is waiting for the bus when she loses her one shoe. After taking a break the job remains elusive. It is straight from “18 Again”.
The second lead is also from the same show! Wi Ha joon who finds her shoes & gives them back ‘Cinderella style’. Why does he fall for the older woman, why not his age… I wonder. The lead in ’18 Again’ has been in love with her husband from school. She cannot suddenly develop feelings for the baseball idol. The pursuit is futile.
Here, they don’t know but we know (we can easily predict the end now! our expertise is that predicting what happens next) that the leads are just wasting time in developing the story. The end is bang in front of our eyes. Given that they don’t know yet. But nobody else measures up. Haven’t they noticed? Wi ha joon is just there to make them realise. I feel very sorry for him. Why doesn’t someone give him a better role than tag along & get dumped or rejected ?
