Coming to the 49th episode I found myself wondering why I had not written about the most obvious couple. Let me do that today. The series should have ended with the 50th episode but the popularity made it mandatory to write two episodes & finally we have 52 episodes.
The pair I wish to write about is the brother, of the mother (the lead pair) who lives in the same building. Park Hye sook as Kim mal-boon is the grandma. She lives with her son, daughter-in-law & grandson.
Kim mal -boon is the grandma who wishes her son would do well in live. Who doesn’t? She also participates in the quiz on the TV. She wishes to win the cash prize for the first place. She reaches the final only to give a wrong answer to the last question. I liked that it was too realistic.
People having a hard life never win a lottery. The money earned with work, your own sweat is hard earned money, indeed. Such a person then has no fears & sleeps well at night.
The son & the daughter-in-law work part-time in a pizza place. But aspire to send their son to a good science school. The fees & the other expenses are beyond their reach. Lee Jun -hyeok as the brother Na Young-shik is as believable as in any other role. He is one the actors who is expert at supportive roles. ‘Love in the Moonlight’ or ‘Touch my heart’ to name a few.
Jang So yeon as Lee Bo-mi his wife decides to use the prize money which they win at the pizza contest to open their own pizza shop. But she discovers that she is expecting twins. Now they have to plan for the new arrivals. She is a regular. ‘Something in the Rain’, ‘Crash landing on you’,’Touch your heart’ to name a few.
This pair is managing to live with few resources. They have a smart son & a mother-in-law to take care of. They are helpful & grateful of the restaurant owners, ‘Dad’s snacks’. The owners with their four children are doing well. Presently how the case unfolds will decide their future.
