My father is Strange

The lead role of the father executed nicely by Kim Yeong-cheol. Better known for his role in “Iris”. I have seen him in ‘Innocent Man’ as the chairman. His personality & age makes him the perfect package.

He has won the top excellence actor award for this role. He has given his 100%. No doubt. He has been working in the industry for many years.

Kim Hae sook is the mother with her four children. Her kind face is her asset. From 1974 till date she has been working in the industry. With Kim yeong cheol she makes the perfect couple. She was nominated for this role but did not get an award. Her performance as always is superb.

The lawyer daughter, Lee Yu ri & her husband make the best couple. They have a lot of lovey dovey scenes & they really look that newly weds. Perfect for each other.

The eldest son,Min Jin Woong with his wife, Lee Mi do start off with the unplanned pregnancy but gradually their relation gets better. She loses the child but the improves the bond between them.

The pair of Lee Joon & Jung So min was the most interesting. But midway they just lost it. When he discovers that he has lost his father 35 years ago he gets angry. He has feelings for her. Some tender scenes show it. But later when she confesses he doesn’t come up with the right response.

There is this one scene. He is waiting for her to come home. Resting his back to the brick wall… it is straight from ‘Bride of Habaek’ how I had liked Nam Joo hyuk waiting for his girlfriend,Shin se-kyung.

Then Ryu Hwa -young with her boyfriend, Mr Park. It gets more interesting as his father wants to know if she plans to marry him. Her elder brother & her sister-in-law at the table with the young pair was a delight to watch.

After 42 episodes only the mystery of the father remains to be revealed. The actor with his girlfriend, Mi Yeong know of it. The lawyer is hot on heels. But they don’t know the entire truth yet. Just 10 more episodes to go.
