Into the 20th episode & I find that the writing is too good. So many characters yet all get some screen time with the story moving ahead. There is no dull moment. Something happening in the household.
The parents are married for 35 years & they know each other perfectly. They can & do stand for each other. Each has a different story to tell.
Their four children soon to be four couples have an interesting twist to their characters. Their son the eldest is marrying his pregnant girlfriend who was a bully in school. Mi yeong was her fat classmate. Now because of financial constraints the newly wed are shifting in the already crowded place.
Father’s friend who is long dead but whose name he is using has a son. He is a celebrity. To understand the bond between father & son he has recently shifted to the vacant room.
Occupant of the room their lawyer daughter is caught living with her boyfriend. The son of the proud land lady! To add to their woes she is nonchalant & doesn’t think she was wrong. The world is changing & so are the values. Marriage cannot be the solution. He wants to marry her. They had a breakup 8 years ago, now he is not ready to let her go. Convincing his parents is a task!
The actor’s manager, Mi yeong is becoming a real helping hand. Her work is going to ensure her permanent job. Mr Kang, inquires if they have something going, but Mr An says no. They have not realised their feelings yet. Then another storm is coming. Getting involved with the half brother.
Ra yeong has met with Park Chul soo who is the soccer coach. She had wrongly thought of him being gay. It was his twin ! Now she is totally embarrassed to face them. She is the brightest, prettiest among the sisters.
Cha Jeong hwan’s parents form another interesting couple. They never agree with each other.
The granny. their mother’s mother, uncle & aunty with their kid make another family. They stay in the same building. He is a photographer. But jobless at present. His wife baby sits & also helps out in the eatery below.
Now the first mini series is going on floors & Mr An has to confront Mr Cha who is going to shoot the proceedings for his new show. ‘Making of ‘Oh my boss..’
I liked the pace. The 52 episodes should have more to offer.
