Shin Se kyung in the title role has everything going wrong. Her parents die & the murderer has seen her face. The opening clip shows her getting off the bus & texting her that she is hungry. With her hair tied neatly she looks so small.
Actually after this show, in 2017, she appeared in two shows, The bride of Habaek with Nam Joo hyuk & in “Black Knight : the man who guards me” with Kim Rae won. But her face has changed just slightly. With her hair hanging I wished I could lend her a hair band.
I saw her first in ‘Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung’ with Cha Eun -woo. Because this was my first show I had liked her in the historian’s role. She was miles away from the other girls due to her upbringing. A 2019 show which I watched waiting for the new episodes to be uploaded. It is a beautiful experience.
Next came 2020 ‘Run On’ with Im Si-wan, a former sprinter who falls for her, a subtitle translator. It was a different kind of story than the routine dramas & dealt with the politics & parental pressures in the field of sports.
I am going back from the latest shows. But her potential is unmistakable. She has her own style in making the role her own! In these five shows she has been good. She got the nomination for the best couple award but won for top 10 stars. In 2019, she won the Celebrity youtuber , Top excellence actress award & best couple award with Cha Eun woo for Rookie Historian Goo Hae ryung.
Park Yoo chun as Detective Choi is charming. In 2010 ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal’, 2012 ‘Rooftop Prince’ & 2015′ A girl who sees smells’ he is a lead in many more dramas.
Another excellent role by Namgoong Min. He as chef Kwon Jae hee is scary. I have seen him in ‘Beautiful Gong shim’, ‘The Doctors’, ‘Good Manager’ & “Doctor Prisoner” He is one of those actors who work but are always appreciated less than they deserve!
With an excellent ensemble of actors the show is good to watch.
