Also called ‘The Innocent Man’ is a Korean drama of 2012. It has Song joong -ki in full bloom. It shouldn’t have been difficult for him to be cast as ‘Vincenzo’ recently. This character has as many layers.
Into the fifth episode I have yet to really follow if his character is stupid, smitten & betrayed by his girlfriend or he is really smart to weigh his options wisely. His co-stars Moon Chae-won & Park Si-yeon are very pretty, talented actors & make it worth watching.
Kang Maru’s sister is not well. He needs her to take her to the hospital but he rushes to Han Jae-hee. She has killed a man. While wiping clean all the surfaces he is in no hurry. He then tells his best friend to take his sister, Choco to the hospital. He takes the blame. Saving her costs him 6 years & his career as a budding doctor. By then she marries the chairman of Taesun & has a child of her own.
Now there are three possibilities. He is taking revenge by dating the daughter of the chairman, Eun gi. He is over Jae hee, which he is not. He jumps in the river for her. Both the ladies are ambitious & are aiming for the throne. He is just the ladder. Anything else will be a surprise.
The pace is good. It’s all fast & furious. If it is maintained, it will be very interesting to watch. Song joong ki has the excellence award & the couple award with Moon Chae won for this show.
Moon Chae won in “Mood of the Day” was excellent. She became my must watch from there. (Yoo Yeon -seok is also one of the reasons!). Then came her thriller ‘Flower of Evil’ with Lee Joon-gi which was equally good. I shall just skip her ‘Criminal Minds’ now that I know she is so good at her work as a Detective.
The last sequence in ‘Flower of Evil’ was shot on the top with Lee fighting. In ‘Nice Guy’ both Moon Chae won & Song Joong -ki go to the top of the mountain where he saves her. Then she is worried about her bike, more so the doll her mom gave her. He rescues it for her & breaks a few ribs in the process.
Park Si-yeon is the first love of the budding doctor, Kang Ma-ru. She has a son. In 2014, her next series was ‘The Greatest marriage’. Where she is the anchor woman (What she aspired in this drama )who decides to have a child out of wedlock & brings him up as the single mother. The child actor is the same. After two years he is bigger. His sense of emoting is perfect.
Most of the faces are known. The house of the chairman is the same as in ‘My only one’ only the chairman was Mr Wang. The entire action took place in & around the house. Here, Kang Ma-ru’s house is small & on the outskirts.
