A 2019 Marathi Thriller directed by Saurabh Sinha. The film stars Smita Tambe,Milind Shirole, Swetambari Gutte with others. The film’s name with all of them with an “S” must be a coincidence.

With the tag line of ‘Hunt for closure’ it does end perfectly. The poster wasn’t very encouraging & I feared that the night viewing may not be a good idea. But it turned out to be a good entertainer. Smita Tambe is a good actress. She needs such good projects. She is just perfect for the role. ’72 miles’ portrayed her talent but it was very sad. A woman walking with her children alone was too much. The hurdles she meets on her way, like losing her child was just too hurtful. Based on a true story but it hits you hard.

It starts with a murder that she solves easily. Later she is given the task of finding why eight people have commited suicide in eight years in the neighbouring village. The rumours of a witch are circulating.

There is an outcaste believed to be a witch, Adhira whose twin sister has disappeared eight years ago. She had been worshipping a skull. All of the villagers believed her to be a witch. An interesting tale with a nice twist.

We require more work in Marathi . The industry is known to be full of talented people but the projects today just aren’t up to the mark. New concepts, talent needs to be harnessed.

Loved the show. No regrets. The suspense is maintained till the end. Creditable.
