My Only one

Why did I start with a new show when I already had so many running simultaneously? Good Question. I felt a need to surf & go for something new, Many be a side dish?? Then I saw Uee & I had to follow it. The story is good but the episodes are 53!

I will have to watch one or two daily. Fortunately there are too many people so the tracks are multiple & the pace is good. Within two episodes Uee’s adoptive father passes away without telling her who is her real father & his where abouts. So till she knows everything the stage is set.

She has a job at ( another food company!) Bom & Food. Where our hero is the Chairman’s eldest son. He has met her on number of occasions & is yet unsure why she intrigues him. His younger brother gets married & the bride has thrown the bouquet at Uee ( by mistake, it was for her friend!).

The grand mother having dementia & searching Uee ,thinking of her as her younger sister. Uee missing her job interview & then getting it for taking care of the chairman’s mom. Her mother & sister behaving as her step mom & sis. Her father gets out of life imprisonment & taking up the job of driver, thanks to the kind father.

Many cliche & yet it makes a peaceful viewing. Lee Jang Woo as the director & Uee’s boss comes across as a honest person. He is good at his work but no experience in matters of love. He won the excellence award for this show & also the couple award with Uee.

Uee was in ‘She was pretty’ as the guest for the ‘Most 20th anniversary’. In 2016, “Marriage contract” & “Night Light’ both very intense dramas. In 2018, ” My contracted Husband, Mr Oh” & also this drama,” My only one”. She got three awards with this role.

Choi Soo jong as the biological father of Uee has a very sensitive role. His circumstances make him a murderer. Along with Jin Kyung he won the couple award for the show. He also won the grand prize for the role.

Jin Kyeong as Na Hing-joo has many shades to her character. She is the sister of Na Hong sil & has lost her husband recently. Now she is back in Korea after the loss of her dear Freddie.

Cha Hwa yeon is the mother of the director & wife of the chairman. She is also dealing with the amnesia of her mother-in-law. She has to assay the role of a mother-in-law to the ambitious Jang Da-ya.

It is poised to be more interesting now.
