A 2021 Hindi film by Balaji Telefilms Limited. It is superb. It takes us to a house where a young man of 28 has just died. Leaving behind a widow who is yet to grasp the situation. The house is so lived in, it feels the family is living there for ages, actually!
The relatives pour in & the expenses begin. The father, Ashutosh Rana is now troubled by the future. Aastik, his son who was earning so well is now no more. Sheeba Chaddha as his mother plays it to the hilt. The lead by Sanya Malhotra as Sandhya, the widow is as expected.
‘Badhai Ho’ had them as mother-daughter & here they are Saas-Bahu. The loan, the finances, future of their bahu are dealt with swiftly. The truth that come to the fore as Sandhya is collecting the Income tax files, wasn’t what I had expected. But she deals with all the issues & comes to a decision that all girls will love.
The bedridden granny has only one word, Usha, for calling or complaining. It is the name of her Bahu but finally she calls out,’ Sandhya!’ that was the super end!!
We are definitely looking forward to such good stories. With the extraordinary situation we need extra ordinary stories to entertain us.
