After his debut in 2018, Hwang In Yeop was seen in ‘The Tale of Nok du’ (2019) & praised for his acting as Park Dan ho. Then he was seen in “18 Again” (2020) as Goo Ja sung who bullies Lee Do-hyun’s son. He was again in ‘True Beauty’ with Cha Eun woo & Moon Ga Young.
In ’18 Again’ he was the bully. As the basketball captain he had the right confidence when he enters the cafeteria to bully Hong jr. He has a remarkable face. Sharp features & eyes that remind you of Lee Joon gi, younger version.
He becomes friends with the boy & starts liking his twin sister. From a baddy to a decent boyfriend was not easy. But he manages to do it. He also proposes the girl in front of the entire school, complete with fireworks & all. She accepts the flowers but the next day makes it clear that she has no feelings for him!
His body language & the way he glances at her were too good. For a moment I felt she may consider the proposal. But then the goody childhood friend steps up & the triangle is over.
Once he also suspects the 18 year old father having romantic feelings for her, he was just trying to be protective! The father actually wants to protect her from their advances but knows that his daughter will make the right choice.
In my list I have ‘True Beauty’ to see how well he fared with the seasoned actors. To get a role opposite Cha eun woo & along Moon Ga young itself is an achievement.
