Starting the season 2, I surprised myself. I had not realised that the first season is coming to an end. It does end abruptly & the new begins with better camera work, make-up,locales & out of school after 4 years. The aging is shown with finesse.
Kim So hyun has been on the rise from her role in Moon embracing the sun. She is again in Who are you: School 2015,The Tale of Nokdu & now in Love Alarm. She is in River Where the Moon Rises which has 20 episodes & the first was aired on Feb 15 2021.
Song Kang gives full justice to his role. He looks like a model & acts like one. He is also lovable as a best friend to Kim Jojo & Lee Hye Yeong. Their friendship gets tested as they fall for the same girl.
Jung Ga-ram is the childhood friend of Sun-oh. The child of their household help. He learns that his father is in jail with murder charges. He meets him but gets really disturbed. He is attracted to Jojo but he believes in old fashioned love. He does not depend on the app Love Alarm. But asks her to take her time.
The difference between the two friends is patience. Kim Jojo has lost her parents when she was young. She had seen them die. She is yet to rise from the trauma. Kim So hyun specialises in such roles. I have been watching her & she is able to look so vulnerable that it brings out the pain so effortlessly.
Now how she copes with her Aunt, her sister & her own emotions remains to be seen.The stage is set with her ringing the love alarm of Hye Yeong. She has told Sun oh that she really cares for Hye yeong. But with 3 more episodes to go, the story will need a good closure. The developer is hidden yet & does her cousin make it is to be seen.
