A 2019 Drama which shows a music teacher whose aspirations to make it big in Mumbai are cut short with the demise of his father. He comes back to Shimla to look after his mother & sister.
Giving tuitions to students, he comes across Jyotsna who is talented but interested in being with him. He pushes her away & she makes it big in the music industry. Years later she is invited in Shimla to present her show.
The teacher is in a dilemma whether to meet his most successful friend or under the pretext of having his sister’s wedding on the same very day give it a miss.Directed by Sarthak Dasgupta it has it’s moments but could have been more subtle.
Manav Kaul getting better with every role. He is the Music teacher with Divya Dutta as his neighbour. Neena Gupta as his mother again is just perfect. Amrita Bagchi looks & moves beautifully. I regretted the footage given to her. She has too little.
The sound track is good. The old ,evergreen songs do wonders to the mood. The cinematography is excellent. The locales, scenery are breathtaking. When I visit Shimla, Himachal Pradesh I must visit all these points. Invariably we promise ourselves.
A few scenes are unnecessary. Instead just a look or a gesture would have sufficed. Giving his effort, crediting to the memory of his parents, the director Sarthak has made a valid point there. His name is sufficient.
