Not Cinderella’s type

A story by Jenni James gives a twist to our ‘Cinderella’s’ story. If a girl was mistreated in the modern age & decided to fight back then the result would probably be this story! It is a straight forward story with a possible end, that is understandable.

Paris Warner as Indy is the usual Cinderella who cooks, cleans & stays in the attic. She has a cat that she was given by her mother. She dotes on it . It gets killed by Bryant Bailey’s car. It is an accident which brings him in her life. A boy used to attention given by girls finds Indy not falling for his charms.

It draws him towards her & by way of friendship to a solid relationship. The journey is predictable yet refreshing. His father has the pivotal role. He is raising his three kids efficiently. Two girls & a boy.

When Cinderella speaks her mind & feels it is the right moment to leave the house, Bailey bails her out. Her childhood friend has a minor role, to bring out the confidence in her. She compares & knows that Bailey is her choice!

There is a court ruling & she wins to get her inheritance that her mother had left for her. Instead of the prince in search of the glass slipper & the girl who has lost it, this prince never loses her. He is there just when & where she needs him.

A feel good film with no frills or thrills yet worth watching.
