As the 23th -24th episode rolled in & the parents took their leave. First Seo-hwa & then Wol-ryung the mystic creature, now Kang chi had lost both his parents. Kang chi, that ‘chi’ pronounced as ‘cha’ is so endearing & by Bae Suzy more so.
Then she gets hit by a bullet meant for Kang chi! When he is immortal how can a bullet finish him?? Now the prophecy of the monk is about to come true. She is going to die! Of the two he cannot die, so logically she should.
It’s crazy. If it is the ‘beginning’ something new should happen! But she dies in his arms on the bank of the river & he sets off to go for the Gu family book. But he has decided to live life a mystic creature for time being.
Over to 2013, he is a president, served by his adoptive father, when he was Kang chi & Eok-man, the servant at the Century House, his valet. He is in the bath when he gets a call from Yoo Yeon-seok who was his brother earlier. Then he meets with muggers robbing a woman on the streets. That is Ma Bong-chul & his gang, but they don’t recognise him. The woman is Yeo-joo, teaching lady Yeo-wool sewing & cooking.
Then enters Bae Suzy with a gun. She goes by the same name & they meet again at night, under a crescent moon & the peach tree in bloom. Is it again going to be the same story again for him to wait for more than 400 moons or more??
In the last scene he opens the door to Sung Joon or Gun along with the commander of the left jozella province.
When they ended “Vagabond” they could have ended it with at least a promise!
