After the 13th episode the pace falters & when we feel the story is over why drag? The scenes of Jessica & Oh Sang mi in the jail are a pain. Women hitting each other & the revenge writ large on their faces. Ugh.
Bae Suzy could have expressed her true feelings without getting the bullet, Literally. Her hospital stay & Lee Seung-gi taking care is all too cliche. But yes, sweet! The earlier episodes have just raised the bar & then the common place events just don’t fit. I may be too harsh here.
What happens with the president & the prime minister, does it really matter? The chief secretary has been taken care of. But he lies in the hospital with so many tubes attached. Will he live?
A thriller need not answer each & every question. Let the audience draw their own conclusions. Why give them on a platter? Let them have their own way!
So not much remains & yet I am ready for any surprises. Just don’t make Shin Sung-rok the villain. There are many to choose from.
