Tracing from Morocco to his own country, Korea so many things happen on the way. For more than 10 episodes I believed he could change the sides. But he appears to be only a loyal agent of the NIS, thank God!
From his role in “My love from the star” where he has no love for the actress he is dating & is a total villain there. He also kills her because she becomes pregnant & starts clinging. That was never in his script to success. His eyes convey everything. The face bare of any emotions then is scary.
In “The Last Empress” he comes across an arrogant Emperor. I hated him from the first episode when he is enamored by Lee Elijah, who is also deceiving her family. But as the series progresses he starts to fall for his Empress, Jang Na-ra. He tries to mend his ways. It is too late then but his effort wins us over.
I am a big fan of Jang Na-ra but I wished the script to change & Shin Sung rok’s good intentions to reach her. He then is the best choice she has. So many fans did not like him to die in the end. His last scene where he confesses his love to her is one of the best! How we feel we could help him live!!
From then he became one of those actors to look for. With three dramas seen & more on the list I am happy.
