In Time With You

The Taiwanese Series written by Mag Hsu & directed by Winnie Chu is a 2011 series. The Japanese by the same name & is also named ‘I don’t love you yet’ is a 2019 series. The episodes were available on You tube but I had not seen the last episodes. Yesterday after finishing the 16 th episode I felt better.

Jin Shirasu as Ishida Ren, Kodal Asaka as Mizusawa Ryu.., Yu Sakuma, Kiyo Matsumoto as Yo. As a career woman in the shoes industry she is absolutely brilliant. From school, Ren has been her support & witness to her mood swings.

It began with the protagonist calling off her wedding. She confronts her parents & says she is sorry. She walks to her beau’s house & says the wedding is cancelled. Till she reaches this point she is unclear about her feelings for her life time friend ,Ren. What I liked most was the parents reaction. They are willing to go all the way for their child’s happiness.

The entire world knows that they are compatible & why look further. But they regard themselves as only best friends & no more. Both have failed at having a stable relationship with someone else. So finally when he moves to Shanghai & is not around, she has withdrawl symptoms & realises what she wishes.

When they meet & it’s clear that they can only be together, they speak on their phones still feeling awkward around each other. It is priceless.

Also watched ‘Strong woman Bong Soon’ to realise that after so many shows & beautiful actors, it remains as fresh & watchable as before. We had skipped quite a bit fighting sequences but the petite strong woman & her employer are so cute. They should give us another show when he is back from his training next year.
