It ends as we imagine. The second lead syndrome is not as heavy as “Reply series” but a tear jerker for sure. The theme being suicide.. it is never dark. Always referring to the incident an year ago I had more dread than how it actually turns about.
There being twins I thought dilutes the issue. Again it is our expectations. The school, teachers, the hard hitting bullying & politics all make it worth watching. Did I like it? Yes, I sure did. When Eun Bi starts developing feelings for I-an it is sweet yet sad at the same time. So only if Eun byeol hadn’t come back, Eun Bi would have learnt to fight for herself. She becomes assertive but cannot forget her past.
The new transfer student is her bullier & there the things get murkier. But the two male leads are excellent. They have been Eun byeol’s classmates for years but find the other gentle twin, her lookalike lovable.
The side plots go on parallel without hindering the main course of events. OST is memorable. The young people have done a superb job. After so many years it is still remembered.
