At the end of the show, yes it has a nice end, although a bit predictable. I needed a good end. The title left us wondering if the Prince forgets the 100 days & she is left all alone. She does reject him but his efforts make her give in finally.
At the Magistrate’s office she goes & stands in front of the lecturer appointed by the prince, our very own famous second lead, Kim Seon ho. But the marriage does not take place. He also challenges the prince that next time he will not let her go. On their way back she asks him if it is all about winning! He replies, ‘Loving is not winning but all about giving.’ One of the best lines of the show.
Han so Hee as the crown princess can be immediately recognised by the curl of her lip. She has been forced to marry him. So neither is happy. But she is pregnant & her father, the vice premier wants to ensure the throne to his grandson. Han So Hee worked in this show in 2018. Later in ‘Abyss’ in 2019 but as Yeo Da-kyung in the record breaking drama ‘The world of the married’ she gained wide recognition. She has been awarded for the said drama as the rising star & the best rookie award.
Jo Sung ha as the King maker is awesome. The moment he dies there is a lull. There is no challenge then. The last episode is slow. The prince has thought of giving him a pardon but he wishes instant death. Which he gets.
Han chul Jo as the King has very little to do. His eyes could have been his asset. But he is manipulated by the vice premier & has very little power. Ji Min hyuk as the Prince Seowon is a kind hearted soul. He adores the crown princess. He manages to save her & her son .
Joon Hyuk Lee as the clerk in the magistrate’s office is superb as usual. I almost said long time no see! Following him from ‘Love in the Moonlight’ he is one of my favourite actors. He has a sense of humour on & off the screen that sets him apart. “Hyde, Jekyll, Me’,’The Doctors’,’If we were a season’ are some of his shows I have seen.
Jung Ji hoon as the Young Lee Yul & Heo Jung-eun as the young Yoon Yi -seo have been cast in so many dramas before. Heo Jung-eun was in ‘Love in the Moonlight’ also. Incidentally Kim Yoo jung’s name in ‘The moon embracing the sun’ is Heo.
It doesn’t rise to ‘Moon Lovers’ or ‘Love in the Moonlight’ but was good.
