Birth Of A beauty

The first few episodes had raised the bar but later it became tiresome. The 21 episodes should have been cut to only 16. The script should have been tighter. The problems they face suddenly disappear in the last two episodes. Real smooth.

Han Ye seul Korean in origin has been brought up in the US. Her smile & the way she talks is different. She has that influence evident in her acting. Pleasant to look at & did not shy away from referring to the plastic surgeries for her beauty in this show. I read while accepting the role for ‘My ID is Gangnam Beauty’ The main actress Im had her inhibitions.

Joo Sang Wook ,another handsome actor is very natural. He plays her love interest to the hilt. Being ill-treated by her husband & swindled for her property, her confidence builds up as she turns into a looker. “Doctor” as she addresses him has the main job to keep up her moral. That he does so well!

Jung Gyu-woon as her husband manages to invoke all the hate within us. His very expression makes us to kick him hard, mentally. He marries another woman within months of his former wife’s death & later hates that she has met another man who cares for her, genuinely.

Wang Ji-hye is a beautiful lady. Always in a secondary role. She wears her clothes with such grace. Here, she is the celebrity who tries to finish Sara. She has seen Kang jun trying to kill his wife but as his mistress she feels it right! She has eyes for Han Tae hae who is going to get married to Sara.

In Gyo-jin as Gyo Chae-yeon’s brother & Sara’s doctor is agast at his sister’s doing. Wrong ones, ofcourse! He is also in “Mood of the day” but with so many things happening with the lead pair I had hardly noticed him.

Han Sang-jin as the bad boy in the drama, aspiring to be the CEO by hook or crook is his usual self. In “My contracted husband, Mr Oh” & recently seen in ‘Hyde, Jekyll, Me’ he has the pivotal baddie role. In ‘Contracted..’ I was looking for Uee & in “Hyde…” Hyun bin & Han ji min!

Some of the dialogues stay with you. ‘A splintered tree is used to make a chess board to make it sturdy. A person who has gone through a lot of hardships becomes mature enough to guide others.’
