Empress Ki

Along with the three main characters so many have impressed me! Their presence is a delight. Here because of those 51 episodes all have their characters fleshed out. Of them the one who impresses most is Tal tal. With general Beakan he is just the talented nephew. But as the comes back to the capital & decides to help Ki. Well read, a thorough gentleman, level headed.

Kim Ji han has his thinking at a different level all together. When he knows the floor plan & returns to the study to find the fund gone! He knows it can be done only by the Imperial Consort Ki. He meets her with grace & talks in a way where both are aware of the others abilities!

As a teacher to her he is excellent & knows she is going to be a treat to his uncle. He helps her whenever possible, without getting involved. He knows his uncle is going along the wrong path but he is helpless. The power struggle within the palace does not end with the first Grand councillor’s death or prince Maha’s poisoning!

The entire team of King Wang yoo is nice. Each has a unique character & they have a common cause to help their king! The other loyal subject is Yeon Bisu. From her hair style to her method of fighting I liked every bit of her! Why did they have to kill her? Played by Yoo in Young.

The flow of the events , the twists & turns make it excellent viewing. The surprise was Golta who is the head of the Eagle house. It is someone higher up in the palace, the suspicion fell on the Empress dowager or the Empress, but this eunuch of the emperor enjoys unlimited power.

With the war waged between Grand councillor Beaken & Ki, more & more fights within the palace are anticipated. The coups will bring in more factions. After the fight how to accept normalcy is an art in itself. The treasury is to be used for the wellbeing of the subjects which rarely happens!
