I was planning to see this show but somehow it got postponed. With Nam Joo & Bae Suzy’s show coming to a close, it was an excellent opportunity to for it. It begins with a fat, healthy housewife contesting in a show, ‘Change’ the winner gets a chance for the complete make over. Sa Geum-ran is taking care of her in-laws in the absence of her husband who is abroad.
After 7 years she discovers that he is in Seoul & having an affair with a pretty lady. She is devastated. To her chagrin she discovers that her mother-in -law & two sister-in -laws know about it. The father-in- law is neutral. But he is not the one to criticise. The grandmother-in-law is her real ally. She has dementia. But only she notices that Geum -ran is crying.
She drives her car distraught & meets with an accident. She is assumed to have commited suicide. With the help of a stranger, Mr Han (Again there is Han only this gentleman is very helpful ) He wants revenge because the girl Chae-yeon that Geum-ran’s husband is dating is his girlfriend.
“My ID is Gangnam Beauty” also had an ordinary girl going under the scalpel to look beautiful. More than her , the co-star is dismayed by her act. In high school he liked her for her good nature!
“She was Pretty” deals with how the protagonist develops freckles later as she grows & her boyfriend a fatty, spectacled boy transforms into a handsome hunk. None other than Park Seo Joon! It is all about her inner struggle & to confront the truth.
“Beautiful Gong Shim” has a beautiful elder sister & she is always the neglected one. But her fate changes when she rents her room to a lawyer who brings justice & love in her life. He builds up her confidence & also finds his own family. His grandmother & his inheritance.
Into the third episode, in “Birth of a Beauty” she finds that she has left a will & so everybody believes that she has committed suicide. Now she is set to find the truth behind her accident.
