Empress Ki

As it progresses to the 20th episode, The Korean King, Wang Yoo gives her a hair pin. It is delicate & to be adorned if she promises to be his queen. She wears it & the King is delighted. In “Goodbye My Princess” her master also gives her a hairpin towards the end of the show. She promises to return to the Eastern Province but remembers a name that is not his!

The master & the current prince of China are from the same family, Gu family. When the master realises that his cousin has feelings for the ninth Princess he moves away. Little does he know that he will never forget her & her heart will never forget her husband. But there is no child involved.

Here Yang is with child & she tries to escape with Lady Park. Lady Park is about to give birth to the emperor’s child. The empress brings out her assassination because she does not wish this child to take birth.

In “Goodbye My Princess” the mother empress emphasises that the child is the emperor’s when she knows it is false. But the mother & the crown prince know it. Later this child dies in miscarriage brought out by evil intentions. But she is safely sent out of the palace by the ninth Princess who the Crown prince’s wife & empress after his mother passes away.

The marriages merely a tool to strengthen the ties between two kingdoms brings in sorrow than joy. A rare Princess like Sanyogita has the courage to choose her mate but her father’s disapproval brings in death for her, her husband & a major loss to the Delhi throne. We often say that common people do mistakes but when people in power do so they are blunders.

Mistakes that can be rectified or people who have the ability to rectify them are rare, so rare. History has too many examples.
