2018 Marathi film which took me by surprise. Madhuri Dixit in a Marathi movie was delightful. Always in a Hindi movie, it was strange hearing her speaking in Marathi. The subject about organ transplant is handled nicely.
She is a 40 year old housewife who gets a heart from a 20 year old girl. Sai Deshpande. Madhura Sane, played by Madhuri, goes and finds her family. Ignoring this possibility, she gets to know the family. Sai’s parents & her twin brother, Salil. She comes to know about the bucket list that Sai wanted to complete by her next birthday.
Madhura decides to complete her tasks. It has it’s own hitches as she is a mother, wife & daughter-in-law of a joint family. But more than that she discovers herself! That truly liberates her!
It was nice to watch a film unveil so delicately. For fear of getting disappointed I had been avoiding it. Yes, it is a good feel film!
