Mind

One of the most volatile & unpredictable commodity in the universe…the mind! It flies so fast & drags like a leaden bag. Dr Khare had said,’Mann kara re prasanna, sarva siddhi che kaaran.’ Being a doctor he was aware of the mind’s play on the body. As a ‘kirtankar’ he was in traditional attire. He said it makes an impact on the audience. We have a set image of a ‘hardas’ & that should not be shattered.

Sudhir Moghe in his poetry has been eloquent with his concept of the versatile mind. Today he is not with us but his words remain to remind us of his ability to move words as he pleased. Very rarely do people have this ability to present words in this pleasant way!His verses always have been brilliant,words simple. We wonder how we did not think of it?

Aadhar kasa shodhava, man manas umagat nahi… Swapnatil padar dhukyacha, hatas kasa lagava ? How can you catch dreams??

Mann thembache aakash, latanni saverlele…mann nakshatranche raan, avkashi avghadlele… mann gargarte avarta…mann ranbhul mann chakva…

Mann kalokhachi gunfa, mann tejache raul….mann saitanacha haat,…mann devache paul…It is darkest of the dark cave & also the brightest of all ..

Dublya galkya jolit hasurya kasa zhelava… Dev deto bharbharun pan mazi jholich jar phatki asel tar??? ha surya kasa zhelava???

Chehra, mohra hyacha koni kadhi pahila nahi, dhani astitvacha tarihi, hyachya vin dusra nahi… hya anolki natyacha, koni kasa bharosa dhyava???

Ahe sarva mhantat, pan konich pahila nahi! If seeing is believing, how do you know that the mind exists! It remains an eternal enigma. It is tasteless, odourless & infinite! Sudhir Moghe had this knack of saying complicated things in the best possible way & keep us enthralled.
